Achievements

Our achievements

Currently there is one official safe drinking water source for every 50 people in rural areas and currently water supply coverage has been increased to 90%. Healthy latrine usage coverage is 81%. District-

1) One hundred percent potable water supply has been ensured.

2) It has been possible to ensure sanitation in 96% of the population.

3) WASH Block has been constructed to ensure improved sanitation system in government primary schools.

4) Submersible tube wells / tube wells have been installed in government primary schools to ensure safe drinking water supply.

5) Public / community toilets have been constructed to ensure sanitation at community level.

6) During the epidemic, soap distribution activities including construction of hand washing basins at various points in the municipality are underway.

6) Iron removal plant and head tank are constructed for iron free water supply in the municipality.
  
6) Arrangements have been made to improve drainage system in different wards in the municipality area.
